THE SEVEN COSMIC FUNCTIONS OF THE LORD JESUS:

5. JUDGMENT

Judgment in Hebrew word is shepet –a sentence, i.e., infliction, judgment; mishpat-a verdict (favourable or unfavourable) pronounced judicially. Judgment in Greek word is krima krisis- a decision the function of the effect for or against (crime) condemnation. 

As willed by God the Father, He gave all the prerogative to the LORD JESUS CHRIST as the judge over all created being since all judgment has been given to Him because the Father judges no one (John. 5:22, 23, 27) that all may honor the Son.

The LORD JESUS is the Righteous Judge (Ps.7:11) and as the “LORD, abides forever. He had established His throne for judgment, and He will judge the world in righteousness.

He will execute judgment for the people with equity (Ps. 9:7, 8).

The heavens declare His righteousness, for God Himself is JUDGE (Ps. 50:6).

Throughout the Old Testament times and in the world, the LORD JESUS has the absolute authority to judge over all the people, and we must clearly understand that all the dealings of the Triune God, concerning judgment is exclusively through the function of God the Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST (John. 5:22).

THE THREE EXECUTORY JUDGMENTS OF THE LORD JESUS  CHRIST:  

                                             

 

I. THE CONDITIONAL JUDGMENT: (Ezek. chapter. 18; John.3:18) “He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

This is conditional, if anyone does not believe in the LORD JESUS until death, His judgment is rendered already; It is written that the LORD “will render to every man according to his deeds” (Rom. 2:6); however if anyone that has been a sinner repented and remains a believer and adherent of the LORD JESUS until death, that one will not be condemned (Jn. 5:24), but has passed from death unto life. 

We must bear in mind that the LORD is omniscient (John. 21:17) and have foreknowledge (Rom. 8:29) and Him alone can search the mind and hearts of all of us (Rev. 2:23).

He executes judgment to all the wicked people by extermination, those who continually commit sin against the LORD and against anyone (2 Pet. 3:6, 7; Jude 6, 7).

This judgment is conditional within the life existence of all living human kind, but after the time of death if anyone did not repent within the grace period given by the LORD JESUS in lifetime existence, the judgment of eternal torment will surely be rendered (Lk. 13:3) to all perpetual sinners. 

II. THE IRREVOCABLE JUDGMENT: (Heb. 9:27) This executory judgment of the LORD JESUS is irrevocable after the death of the concerned human kind; judgment will precisely be rendered irrevocable; any motion for consideration to repeal this judgment is null and void (Heb. 9:27), “It is appointed for man to die once and after death the judgment.”

This is absolute truth revealed by the LORD JESUS, and therefore negates the false belief of the Roman Catholic Church about purgatory, that the souls of the dead sinners can be purged in that fictitious purging place. 

III. THE GREAT WHITE THRONE OF JUDGMENT: (Rev. 20:11-15) In the resurrection of sinners they will be judged by the LORD JESUS CHRIST according to their deeds (Rom. 2:6), “If any one’s name was not found written in the book of life he was thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8; 20:15)”.

This judgment will be rendered for all persistent sinners that died and refused to repent until death. This judgment is not for the true adherents of the LORD JESUS (John. 5:24).

THE SEVEN COSMIC FUNCTIONS OF THE LORD JESUS:

4. PRESERVATION

At the time when the LORD JESUS rendered His righteous judgment for the people on earth because of their extreme wickedness in the days of Noah, He destroyed them all except the family of Noah (Gen. 6:18-22; 7:1-2)

The LORD preserved Noah, his wife, his three sons and the wives of his sons. “Noah found favor in the sight of the LORD, and according to Him, Noah was a man, blameless in his time, and that he walked with God”(Gen. 6:8, 9).

The LORD commanded Noah to make an ark of gopher wood (Gen. 6:14) wherein the family of Noah will stay with all the pres erved living creatures such as animals birds and creeping things (Gen. 7:15).

The LORD JESUS had destroyed all living things with breath of life on the face of the earth by flood because of extreme wickedness of man, but Noah and his family were preserved because the LORD had loving compassion for them for their irrevocable commitment of adherence to Him (Gen. 6:18).

The LORD’S purpose of preservation is quite significant, because He doesn’t want to wipe out all living things on earth though His wrath was kindled against them, because of the obstinate sinfulness of people during those days.

He did preserved Noah’s family including animals, two of every kind into the ark to keep them alive. His purpose of preservation was eventually fulfilled by the LORD JESUS in the days of Noah and his family (Gen. 7:1-3).

It is an amazing and marvelous work that the LORD JESUS had magnificently done, the preservation of human kind and animals, He retained seasons while the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter and day and night (Gen. 10:22).

In that circumstances the LORD blessed Noah and his sons and told them to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth (Gen. 9:1, 2).

He gave to them all that had been preserved, live stocks, such as every beast of the earth, birds, creeping things on the ground and all the fish of the sea (Gen. 9:2). So humankind multiplied once again after the LORD preserved Noah’s family.

Whenever the LORD JESUS renders His judgment to many people, to those who stubbornly transgress His commandments, eventually, difficult times impaired their living conditions.

It happened in Israel, and in Egypt, and in the surrounding places of Egypt, during the time of Joseph, the second youngest son of Jacob who had been sold as slave to the Egyptians by his brothers (Gen. 37:27). By the wisdom given by the LORD JESUS to Joseph, the two remarkable dreams of Pharaoh had been accurately interpreted by Joseph; the seven years of abundance, followed by seven years of famine (Gen.41:17-31). So Joseph gave  anticipatory suggestion to Pharaoh, by the wisdom given to him by the LORD JESUS, that they should prepare much grain by cultivation of available land for crops. Pharaoh gladly conformed to Joseph; consequently, the agricultural preparation which was well accomplished by the directive instruction of Joseph reap great abundance of grain, that certainly was sufficient for seven years severe famine.

 After the seven years of abundance, severe famine came over the face of the earth, even in Israel. In that circumstances Joseph was the LORD'S  diligent servant in preserving all the people of Israel, the children of Jacob. Joseph efficiently sold grain for all who need survival; especially for his kindred who went to Egypt to buy grain.His brothers did not identified that Joseph was their brother they sold to the Ismaelites in Egypt, but later on, Joseph disclosed himself to them after he tested their reputation. Therefore, when they knew Joseph it was the fulfilled dream of Joseph, and Joseph told them,"Now do not be grieved or angry with your selves, because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life"(Gen.45:5).

Joseph the beloved son of Jacob had been the LORD JESUS’ faithful servant in his lifetime; endowed of the LORD’S given wisdom to interpret dreams (Gen. 41:12, 14-36).

Even before Joseph had been sold as a slave to the Ishmaelites in Egypt, the LORD JESUS had already shown to Jacob and his sons what will be His prepared plan for Joseph in the future by the two dreams of Joseph; the LORD foretold to Jacob and his sons that Joseph will be a great ruler (Gen. 37:5-11) and that Jacob and his sons will be under the sovereign authority of Joseph at the appointed time of the LORD (Gen. 43:26, 28; 44:18).

The preservation of the LORD JESUS had been fulfilled in the life of Jacob; there was a time when the twin brothers Jacob and Esau have had discord about their inheritance (Gen. 27:41).

Esau had threatened to kill him (Gen. 27:41) because the inheritance of Esau was given to Jacob, by way of the deception that Jacob and his mother perpetrated; Jacob pretended as Esau (Gen. 27:8-13).

Isaac gave all of Esau’s inheritance to Jacob. Consequently, the agreement of the twin brothers was fulfilled when Esau in his hungry situation (Gen. 25:29-34) gave his birth right to Jacob for a bowl of food when Esau was so hungry from hunting game, but later on he realized that he need his inheritance that goes to Jacob.

The wrath of Esau waxed hot against Jacob. Consequently, to avoid the wrath of Esau, Jacob departed away from his father and mother and went to Padan-Aram to stay in the house of Bethuel, his mother’s father and to take a wife from the daughter of Laban, his mother’s brother (Gen. 28:13).

When Jacob came to a certain place to have night time rest, he laid down in that place; there and then he had a dream, he saw a ladder set on the earth and the top of it reaching to heaven, he saw the angels of God were ascending and descending from heaven (Gen. 28:12).

The LORD stood above and said, “I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham, and the God of your father Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it to you and your descendants” (Gen. 28:13).

“Your descendants shall also be like dusts of the earth and you and your descendants shall spread out to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south and in you and your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed” (Gen. 28:14).

And behold I am with you, and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you” (Gen. 28:15).

Although Jacob was a fallible human kind and had committed many transgressions against the LORD, his finite lifetime was preserved by the LORD JESUS because he became true adherent of the LORD.

Jacob begot twelve sons and one daughter through his wives, and when he and his family returned to the promise land given to him and his descendants by the LORD (Gen. 28:15).

PRESERVATION IS FOR ALL THE ADHERENTS OF THE LORD (1Cor. 15:52-54).

All the godly people will never be forsaken because the LORD will preserve them forever (Ps. 37:28). To be preserved by the LORD JESUS, we must faithfully love Him (Ex. 20:5, 6; Ps. 37:28; 97:10; 116:6; 145:20; Ps. 2:8; Jn.14:21, 23; 1Cor. 16:22).

For ETERNAL PRESERVATION, The LORD JESUS GIVE ETERNAL LIFE TO HIS FAITHFUL ADHERENTS (Jn. 10:27-28). All the unrepentant obstinate sinners will also be preserved to eternal torment in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone (Rev. 21:8).

      2. THE ORDERING OF CREATIONS

After the heavens and the earth were created and all the host of them, He ended His work which He had made, but before He finish all of His creations, it is explicitly revealed that He set up all things in order, things in heaven, and things on earth.

In proper arrangement He first made the necessary things for the life existence of all living creatures ; He prepared provisions for the nourishment of all living things (Ac. 17:25).

There was no rain from heaven in those days because the LORD JESUS did not “caused it to rain upon the earth” (Gen. 2:5); “But there went up a mist upon the earth and watered the whole face of the ground” (Gen. 2:6). “And the LORD GOD (the LORD JESUS CHRIST) formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Gen. 2:7).

From His created earth, He created another creature, the human kind, to have dominion over all the living things that move upon the earth (Gen. 1:28).

The constituent of the created man was of the earth, the reason of being finite in reality; from one rib of the man Adam, a woman was amazingly formed as a living creature for the man (Gen. 2:22).

In these absolutely revealed truth in God’s ordering of His created human kind, there was no homosexual, neither lesbian created human kind.

3. PROVISIONING 

The LORD JESUS is the Supreme God throughout the infinite and finite reality who gives provisions to all created being because it is His benevolent function for all (Ac. 17:25-26; Gen. 22:8, 14; Ex. 3:8; Jos. 13:6; Mt. 6:33; 25:14-29; Jn. 14:13; Ph. 4:19).

It is the perfect will of the LORD JESUS for all of His created beings, specially the human kind to be dependent on Him alone, because He is the LORD who cares and provides for all as Yahweh Jireh (Gen. 22:14).

Without His provisions, the existence of all things will cease, because in Him all things hold together (Col. 1:17) and without Him we can do nothing (Jn. 15:5).

Even in eternal torment in the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8), all the people there together with demons destined to be tormented day and night for ever, will forever remain in their existence, the LORD JESUS will not annihilate them, for the reason that they deserve endless torment (Rev. 20:10).

Their continuous existence is considered a provision of the LORD JESUS for them; the LORD will not terminate their existence;

All living things need the provisions of the LORD, because “He giveth to all life, breath, and all things”(Ac. 17:25), and in Him all things consist (Col. 1:17).

THE SEVEN COSMIC FUNCTIONS OF THE LORD JESUS:   

          

1. CREATION OF THE WORLD- 1st cosmic function  

Creation was the first thing that the LORD JESUS had done (Gen. 1:1-2; Ac. 17:26; Isa. 44:24). He created the heavens and the earth from nothing, it has been created by His word (2 Pe. 3:5; Isa. 44:24; Heb. 1:3, 10).

In Genesis chapter one verse two, “And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was moving upon the face of the waters.”

Many Bible scholars had spread out a conjecture that, there was a chaotic situation at the time of the LORD’S creation of the earth, because it was formless and void (Gen.1:2).

They theoretically concluded that there had been destruction of the earth by the opposing power of darkness which intentionally, and devastatingly destroyed the work of the LORD JESUS, and surmised that the devil was the perpetrator.

If the expression of the word void is the premise of the Bible scholar’s speculation that there had been destruction of the earth because of the meaning from the Hebrew word bo huw which means a vacuity, i.e., superficially undistinguishable ruin, they may be right; nevertheless, another meaning of void for consideration is empty or vacuity which denotes vacant space, because the earth was not completed yet in the process of the LORD JESUS’ work of creation at that point in time, therefore the Bible scholars in their conclusions were erroneous, because no specific verse from the Bible can support as explicit premise of their assertion.

We should not agree that there was chaos when God created the earth, because everything He had created when He saw it was very good (Gen. 1:31) including all angels.

Therefore, no condemnable wickedness from the LORD’S creatures had perpetrated a devastating sabotage when the LORD create the heaven and the earth, because it was very good (Gen. 1:31).

It is a remarkable revelation of the LORD JESUS, that in His inherent ability [Dunamis in Greek word], He can create by the power of His word, from nothing to something (Gen. 1:1-8).

He also revealed His omnipotent power to create from His created things another creature (Gen. 2:7-9).

Thus, He did not create the whole world (cosmos in Greek word)just from nothing at one time to let us know, that He created human kind, from the dust of the earth (Gen. 2:7).

When the LORD created the heaven and the earth there was no light and darkness was over the surface of the deep and so He said “Let there be light and there was light”(Gen. 1:3) and the light was good in the sight of the LORD, therefore He separated the light from darkness, and He called the light day, and darkness night” (Gen. 1:45). 

Consequently, after He created the heavens and the earth, it is well implied in (Ps. 148:1-5) that the angelic kind were created in heaven; and the sun, moon and stars, were created also in the astronomical heaven (Gen. 1:16-18).

In the LORD JESUS’ fulfilment of creation of the heavens, there was no wickedness or evil among the created angels, even at the time when He create the earth that was without form and void, because He said after all things were made “it was very good”(Gen. 1:31).

It is a very clear revelation of the LORD JESUS that He systematically started His splendid creations with set up well arranged work priorities, the first were the heaven and the earth(Gen. 1:1-2); no existing evil yet at that point in time according to His word in (Gen. 1:31).

Though the earth was formless and void at first, because it was empty, the LORD JESUS had filled it with uncountable varieties of His created things after it was marvellously formed into beautiful and magnificently designed planet earth.

All His well planned sequences of work within six consecutive days were accomplished excellently without interruption; then He ended His work on the seventh day (Gen. 2:2).    

No one else among human kind will know the days of the Dinosaurs, because the LORD JESUS did not let it be known to human kind (Ecc. 3:11).

This is how He made human kind, according to His image and likeness: with spirit, soul, and body, ( Gen. 1:27); it was in sixth day when He created the first man.

We can clearly understand when God said “Let us make man in our image”(Gen. 1:26) that these explicit words have comprehensive revelation that the Triune God have sameness of image (Gen. 1:27; Col. 1:15; Heb. 1:3).

There will never be any contradiction that the LORD JESUS was the one who accomplished the creation and ordering of all He had created (Isa. 42:5; 44:24; Jn. 1:3; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:2, 10).

THE FUNCTIONS OF THE GOD KIND TRINITY- Part 1

The Function of God the Father

This question must be taken into serious and curious consideration of all, how does God the Father perform in His work? By knowing the Eternal Purpose of the Trinity (Ep. 1:9; 3:11) we will learn these knowledge given by the LORD JESUS, through His faithful adherent, from the Epistle of Apostle Paul to the Ephesians (Ep. 1:9-11; 3:11). 

God the Father’s eternal purpose has been carried out in CHRIST JESUS our LORD for the fulfillment and completion of the works (Jn. 1:3; Ro. 11:36; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:2). The word purpose in Greek word is prothesis having these meaning: i.e., (fig.) proposal (intention).

The Eternal Purpose of the Father has been given to the LORD JESUS CHRIST, because of the ALL FOR JESUS love of the Father to His Son (Jn. 3:35).

He has given to JESUS not just His Eternal Purpose but all things as well. Consequently, the LORD JESUS was the one who accomplished the purpose of the Father that the whole world be created and it was so; (Gen. 1:3-27; Is. 42:5; 44:24; Ro. 11:36; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:2, 10-11).

It is willed by God the Father in the infinite reality that both He and the LORD JESUS CHRIST are purposive, because the Father has given His Eternal Purpose to JESUS (Ep. 3:11). 

The LORD JESUS said, “Truly, truly I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself unless it is something He sees the Father do; for whatever the Father does, those things the Son also does in like manner For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all that He Himself is doing, and greater works than these will He show Him that you may marvel”(Jn. 5:19-20).

The LORD JESUS has given us splendid comprehension, that He, being the wisdom and the power of God (1 Cor.1:24) is the one who actualizes all of God the Father’s Eternal Purpose; and the fulfiller of whatever is the will of the Father that He sees in Him, by His wisdom, and inherent power with foreknowledge, and therefore He is forever the executor of all the Father’s intentions (Jn. 1:3). 

It is now clear to us that all of the Father’s functions just have fulfillment in the overall functions of His Son- the LORD JESUS CHRIST (Is. 44:24; Jn. 1:3; Ro. 11:36; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:2, 10).

So the function of the Father is distinct to that of the Son, because He is the giver of all His purpose to the Son (Jn. 3:35). 

The Father did not do the exclusive functions of the Son, i.e., The Seven Cosmic Functions of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, precisely because They have distinctions in Their individual functions and They don’t have interchangeability in Their personal identity and in Their works (Ja. 1:17; Heb. 13:8; 9:14).

THE INFINITE EXISTENCE OF THE GODKIND TRINITY BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD- Part 3

THE TRIPERSONAL LORD GOD REVEALED BY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (LESSONS 1-2)

God in Hebrew word is Elohiym, derived from Eloah. The Deity: God in the plural form of Elohiym has clear revelation that God is not a singular person, and this truth had been explained in lesson one. 

In the singular form, “El” (or God) means strength; as adjective “Mighty”, especially “the Almighty” (Gen. 17:1; 2 Cor. 6:18; Rev.1:8) or “Shadday” which means “powerful”, derived from the Hebrew word “Shaddad”.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

In the Greek word, God is Theos, meaning Supreme Divinity-God, Omnipotent (Pantokrator -Almighty), the all ruling, i.e. God, that is absolute and universal, sovereign, Almighty, Omnipotent, (Rev. 19:6) powerful. 

In the Hebrew word or term “Shadad”, this have precise meaning that God is capable to do all things (Mk. 10:27; Lk. 1:39; Heb. 7:16). This inherent power of God is Dunamis in Greek word, having miraculous power, ability, ( worker of) miracle (s).    

                                                                                                           

Another inherent power of God is Kratos in Greek word which means vigor (great dominion) might, power, and strength.

We must consider that the Trinity have the same characteristics. Proof of this is in accordance to the statements of the LORD JESUS in (Jn. 14:7-9; Jn. 10:30) and God the Holy Spirit has mighty power also in Himself as God, (Jud. 14:6; Lk. 24:49; Ac. 1:8). God in Their reality have sameness in Their infinite characteristics; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Although God the Father in Himself as revealed exclusively by the LORD JESUS CHRIST, is the invisible God (Col. 1:15; Jn. 1:18; Jn. 5:37; Jn. 6:46; 1Tim. 6:16), unknowable except through Him (Mt. 11:27) and unreachable except by Him (Jn.14:6), and inaudible to created being, (Jn. 5:37).

Let us keep in our mind that the LORD JESUS CHRIST as the Singular, Exclusive, and Directly Self Revealing God, is the exact representation or the image of the Person of the Father, (Jn. 14:7-9; Heb. 1:3).

We must have clear comprehension, that as the Father loves the Son- the LORD JESUS CHRIST, the Father gave all to Him (Mt. 11:27; Jn. 3:35), including all authority (exousia in Greek word) (Mt. 28:18) and Eternal Purpose as well (Eph. 3:11).

Therefore, since the LORD JESUS became the fulfiller of the Father’s Eternal Purpose (Eph. 3:11), will (Jn. 6:38) and works (Jn. 5:19), hence He has been greatly acknowledged as the power and wisdom of God (1Cor. 1:24; 1:30).

In the entire book of the Bible, the written words and testimonies of JESUS (Rev. 19:10), the only directly revealed Almighty God is the LORD JESUS (Gen. 17:1; Isa.9:6; 2 Cor. 6:18; Rev.1:8) because  He is the exact representation or image of the Father (Jn. 14:7-9; Heb. 1:3). 

This is the reason why God the Father remains directly invisible and unknowable, but can be known only through the LORD JESUS. 

Being the beloved  Son of the Father, even all the Glory and Honor that be for the Father, has been given to the LORD JESUS because of His love for His Son (Jn. 3:35).

God the Father as the great Lover, gave the LORD JESUS to the world (Jn. 3:16). 

Consequently, as the given God the Son to the world (Isa. 9:6; Jn. 3:16; Ro. 8:32), He has made Himself known to the world as the ALMIGHTY GOD (El Shaddai in Hebrew; Pantokrator in Greek), which means: Infinitely Sufficient, Sustaining, and Satisfying God (Gen. 17:1; 28:3; 35:11; 43:14; 48:3; 49:25).

The Holy Spirit has been revealed by the LORD JESUS as the Comforter, whom the Father will send in His name, and shall teach us all things, and bring all things to our remembrance whatsoever the LORD JESUS had told us, (Jn. 14:26).

The LORD JESUS explained that the Holy Spirit testifies of Him (Jn. 15:26), and do not speak of Himself, but what He shall hear, that shall He speak, and show us things to come (Jn. 16:13).

According to the LORD JESUS, the Holy Spirit will reprove of the world concerning sin, righteousness and judgment (Jn. 16:7-8). 

The LORD JESUS had revealed to us regarding God the Holy Spirit: “…even the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither KNOWETH Him; but ye know Him; for He dwelleth  with you, and shall  be in you (Jn. 14:17).”

THE TRINITARIAN ALL FOR JESUS EQUIPPING MINISTRY

This ministry of the LORD JESUS is for the necessary fashioning of all  His adherents: 

a. to be well- equipped of the given knowledge of the TRUTH that is in JESUS, (Eph. 4:21);

b. to comprehensively learn His teachings; 

c. to understand His instructions, motivations, revelations, ordinances, and eternal purpose, for all in all of reality; 

d. to obey His Righteous directive will for all (I Jn. 2:17);

e. to have essential skills and wisdom, in serving the LORD in the LORD’S given ministry, (Jn. 14:12) specially in specific ministerial calling/s, (Eph. 4:11);  

f. to be well- trained workers of the LORD JESUS in  His Kingdom.

For everyone, g. to be Totally, Absolutely, Exclusively,  and  irrevocably  ALL FOR JESUS, according to the will of God the Father, (Jn. 3:35; 6:39-40); 

and h. to remain faithful servants of the LORD JESUS, the same with Apostle Paul’s manner of life (Ph. 4:9) for the Glory of the LORD of all (Ac. 10:36).

Therefore, everyone who have a willing heart to be a disciple of the LORD JESUS, ("matetes" in Greek word) student, learner, who enthusiastically desire to be approved unto God (II Tim. 2:15) "...a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth", can diligently study all the systematically arranged Biblical lessons here, for the edification, and accumulation, of the LORD’S available given knowledge for everyone in this finite world.

 Acknowledgement of recognition shall be given to everyone, who can pass the  written examination for all students, with the main reason to know, who have learned well, and have willingness to serve the LORD JESUS in His ministry, (Jn. 14:12).
